Kandal Prohibits Heavy Trucks on Four Roads Due to Flooding

PHNOM PENH: The Department of Public Works and Transport of Kandal Province has announced the temporary prohibition of trucks to pass on four roads due to flooding situation. These are the National Road 20, Street 120, 1KD9 (34) and Street 1KD11 (143) in Kandal Stung and Ang Snoul district.

The announcement has stated, “Please close the traffic of all kinds of trucks on National Road 20 from the roundabout to National Road 3; Road 120 from National Road 2 to National Road 3; Street 1KD9 (34) from National Road 3 to Street 41, and Street 1KD11 (14) from Road 1KD9 (34) to National Road 4 temporarily from the date of this notice until the water level is back to normal to keep the bridge road from collapsing and ensure safe traffic."

Kandal is one of the provinces in Cambodia that has been experiencing heavy rainfall which resulted to flooding. The Department of Public Works and Transport has temporarily prohibited trucks from passing on these roads to avoid accidents.
